How Amiro handles information
Last updated 25 October 2026
Amiro is in private development. This notice explains, in plain terms, how this website and Amiro’s private preview handle information today. A fuller privacy policy will replace it before Amiro launches publicly.
This website
- On amirotravel.com, Cloudflare adds a Web Analytics script to measure which pages are visited, referring sites and page performance. Cloudflare says the script does not read or store browser cookies. Amiro does not add advertising scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information about each request, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it.
- If you email admin@amirotravel.com, your message and address are used to reply to you.
The private preview
Amiro’s application isn’t publicly available yet. For people using the preview:
- Your account and the Trips, Hotel plans and Hotel reservations you record are stored with Supabase, which provides Amiro’s database and sign-in. They are private to your account.
- If you add flights, trains, transfers, activities, restaurants or other plans to a Trip, Amiro stores what you enter: the type, the places, the dates and local times with their time zones, whether you say it’s booked, and any details or notes you add. They’re used to show your Trip day by day and are private to your account. Amiro doesn’t check them with airlines, rail companies or other providers, doesn’t follow their status, and doesn’t use your location. Removing a plan deletes it.
- If you use Before you go on a Trip, you can choose to add who’s travelling, as a first name or a label like “Traveller 2”, which country each passport is from, and each passport’s expiry month and year (and, for trips to Schengen countries, the month and year it was issued). Amiro uses them only to work out whether each passport meets that country’s rules for your trip dates, and when to renew. If you tell Amiro which passport you travel on, it also remembers that country on your account, so it doesn’t ask again on your next trip. You can change it whenever you like. It never asks for passport numbers, photos or full dates, and won’t keep a name that looks like a number. If you mark Health or the entry rules as sorted, or the arrival card as done, Amiro records only that you did, nothing about vaccines, conditions or medicines. It’s private to your account. You can change or clear any of it at any time, and deleting the Trip or your account deletes it too. Amiro doesn’t send any of it to GOV.UK, TravelHealthPro or anyone else.
- If you ask Amiro to remember a payment card for your Trips, it keeps only the name you give the card, the currency it’s billed in and the foreign transaction fee you tell it, so your stays can show roughly what that fee might add. It doesn’t ask for card numbers, expiry dates, security codes, balances or logins, and won’t accept a full card number. It’s private to your account. You can stop Amiro remembering it from Reservation details on any of your reservations, or by emailing us.
- If you add payment cards under Your cards, Amiro keeps only which of the products it has checked you say you hold: the product, its market version and the currency it’s billed in. It uses them to show what those products’ published terms say about paying for your stays. It doesn’t ask for card numbers, expiry dates, security codes, account numbers, balances or logins, and there is nowhere to type one. It’s private to your account, and you can remove a card from Your cards at any time, or by emailing us.
- When you see a Klook suggestion, its photo loads directly from Klook or its image provider, so they can see your device’s internet address, as any website can. Amiro doesn’t share anything else with Klook unless you choose Open on Klook.
- Rate checking is a development feature; Amiro has not selected a supplier for ongoing customer checks. If a check runs for a hotel reservation, it sends the supplier only what that check needs: the hotel, dates, number of rooms and guests, children’s ages, currency and nationality you supplied, which some hotel rates depend on. It doesn’t send your name, email address or booking reference.
- When Amiro researches publicly available hotel promotions, it uses an AI provider, OpenAI, with web search. Those requests describe a destination and sometimes a hotel. They don’t include your dates, your party, your name or your booking details.
- Your Help notes and drafts stay in this session and are cleared when you reload or sign out. Amiro does not save Help text to your account. If AI Help is available, the problem, question and Trip facts you review are sent to OpenAI only after you give permission for that request. The OpenAI processing, retention and training controls described below also apply.
- If booking-confirmation Upload is available to your account, you can choose to send a PDF or image of a hotel reservation to help add it to your Trip. A confirmation may contain names, contact details, stay dates, guests, prices, payment terms and a booking reference. Amiro temporarily keeps the file in private Supabase Storage and sends the whole PDF or image to OpenAI to suggest reservation details. OpenAI may process that content outside the UK and Europe. Amiro asks OpenAI not to store the response for later retrieval; this does not rule out separate abuse-monitoring logs, which OpenAI says may hold content for up to 30 days by default, or longer where legally required or needed to protect its services or others from harm. API data is not used to train OpenAI models unless the account opts in.
- You check and can change the suggested details before saving a Hotel reservation. Amiro tries to delete the uploaded file when you save or cancel, or when it cannot use the file. An unfinished upload or review has a 24-hour deadline; an hourly cleanup job may close it earlier and attempts to delete its file. If a deletion fails, Amiro records the failure and retries it, so deletion can take longer. Once cleanup succeeds, Amiro removes the temporary suggested details and quoted excerpts. It keeps the reservation details you confirmed, a record of which fields you changed, and upload and processing records such as the original filename, file size, a file fingerprint and timestamps. You can contact us about deleting your preview account and data using the address below.
Sharing
Send plans shows your route, dates and nights, with the day plans and hotel names you choose to include.
Follow along shows today, tonight and next, the trip dates and day count, and the trip purpose label, such as “Family time”. Hotel names appear only if you choose. It does not track your location.
Neither kind of link shows your bookings, prices, references, who is travelling with you, private notes or preferences. Your first name may appear.
Anyone with the link can open it and pass it on. Send plans links expire after 30 days; Follow along ends with the trip. You can turn either link off sooner. A friend who copies your plans has an independent trip of their own; turning your link off does not remove their copy.
If you ask to copy while signed out, this browser remembers the link for up to 60 minutes so you can finish after confirming your email. It clears the request after copying, dismissal or expiry.
Your information
To ask what Amiro holds about you, email admin@amirotravel.com. Where Delete account is available in Settings, you can use it to remove your account, Trips, reservations, uploads, saved cards and other records linked to your account, including Amiro’s linked audit records. Deletion first removes stored uploads, then account records. If it cannot finish, your request stays pending and you can retry or email us. A Trip another traveller saved independently in their own account remains theirs. Processors may keep separate security records under their own terms. You can also ask us to delete your preview account by emailing admin@amirotravel.com.
